Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to the Android application TinyPix, published by Doughlects LLC. This document explains how information is accessed, handled, stored and protected when you use TinyPix utility application. TinyPix does not hold any license number. All core processing operations run fully on-device. No user content is transmitted to external servers.
1. Information We Collect
TinyPix does not actively collect any of your voluntarily provided personal identifiable information. We never solicit or gather the following information from you:
- Full name, gender, date of birth, identity document information
- Phone number, email address, home or physical address
- Facebook account, Google account credentials or other social-network account information
- Education background, religious beliefs or other demographic information
We do not require you to register an account, login or submit any personal profile to use this application.
Only two categories of information may be accessed locally on your device:
- Media files (photos, images you manually select and confirm) for photo compression, PDF conversion and storage cleanup functions. These files are only processed locally on your Android hardware.
- Local preference storage is not used in the current release — the active preset lives in memory only and resets when the app is closed.
Important: No personal data, photo content or file metadata is collected over network by TinyPix application code itself. This release does not include any advertising SDK. Advertising positions are reserved for a future version only; if advertising is ever introduced, this policy will be updated before that release.
2. Application Permissions
TinyPix only requests gallery-related media permissions. All media access requires your manual selection and explicit confirmation. Sensitive permissions are described first, there are no other general permissions requested.
Sensitive Gallery Permissions
- READ_MEDIA_IMAGES: Used for the storage health report, duplicate photo detection, large/old photo lists and folder cleanup on Android 13 and above. Batch compression and PDF creation use the Android Photo Picker and need no permission. You must manually confirm access before the app can read your photos.
- READ_MEDIA_VISUAL_USER_SELECTED: Provides partial photo library access for Android 14+. The app can only access photos you manually select; full gallery access will not be granted.
- READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Legacy gallery permission only for devices running up to SDK 32 for older Android device compatibility. Manual user confirmation is mandatory before any photo access.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS is not requested, and the app does not send any notifications.
TinyPix will never request camera, microphone, precise location, approximate location, Bluetooth, contact list, SMS, call logs, app list access and MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (all-files access). No other device permissions are requested.
2.1 How we obtain permission-related data
How to collect: All gallery access requires your manual operation and explicit confirmation. Permissions are obtained through Android runtime system popup dialog, you can choose grant or deny. When using zero-permission workflow via Android Photo Picker, you manually pick individual photos, the app obtains temporary one-time access only for those selected items. The app cannot scan or browse your entire photo library without your manual selection and confirmation.
From whom we collect: Permission and media file access is only obtained from you, the end-user of this app. We gain access only to photos you actively choose.
Third-party sharing: We do NOT share any locally accessed media, file information or permission-related data to any third parties.
Sell for profit: We will never sell, rent or trade any information obtained via above permissions for commercial profit purposes.
Server upload destination: None. All image decoding, compression, PDF rendering, duplicate photo dHash calculation, storage analysis run 100% locally on your Android device. Photos, original images, compressed outputs, EXIF metadata and file information will never be uploaded to any external or cloud server operated by Doughlects LLC or any partner.
Destructive operation rule: Any photo deletion action must trigger Android official system confirmation dialog (MediaStore.createDeleteRequest or legacy RecoverableSecurityException consent flow). The app cannot delete your files silently without your explicit system-level approval.
3. Data Retention and Deletion Mechanism
3.1 What data is stored, retention period and reason
- 1. User-processed media output files: Compressed photos are saved locally to device path Pictures/TinyPix. Generated PDF files save to device Downloads folder. Storage location: Your local Android device only. Retention period: Stored indefinitely on your device until you choose to delete them. These files are created by your operation for your own usage purpose. Doughlects LLC does not set automatic expiry for these user-generated files.
- 2. App local configuration: None in the current release. The app writes no preferences, settings or UI state to private storage; the selected preset is held in memory only and resets when the app is closed.
- 3. No remote server storage: Doughlects LLC maintains zero copies of your photos, PDFs or personal information on any remote servers.
3.2 How to delete your data
- User-generated output files (compressed photos, PDF documents): You can delete them directly using your system gallery or system file manager on your mobile device.
- App local configuration data: Uninstall TinyPix application from your Android device. Uninstallation will erase all local private app preferences automatically.
- Revoke permissions: Go to Android System Settings → Apps → TinyPix → Permissions, you may revoke all granted gallery permissions at any moment. After revocation, the app can no longer read any of your photos until you manually reconfirm access again.
Since Doughlects LLC holds none of your personal data or user content on our backend servers, there is no server-side stored data for us to delete upon request.
4. Your Rights
As an end-user, you hold the following rights relevant to your information:
- Right to access and inquiry: You may check which gallery permissions have been granted to TinyPix via Android system settings; view your compressed photos and PDF outputs inside local device folders. The app can only view photos you manually select.
- Right to correction: TinyPix does not store your personal profile data, so there is no personal information to correct or modify within the application.
- Right to deletion: You can delete local generated files yourself in file system, uninstall app to erase app-side local preferences; revoke granted gallery permissions anytime.
- Right to account cancellation: TinyPix has no user account or login system; there are no accounts to register or cancel.
- Right to submit complaints and feedback: If you have privacy-related concerns, you can reach us via contact information listed under section 7 of this policy.
5. Cookies
TinyPix is a native Android mobile application and does not use browser cookies for tracking or advertising. The only web view in the app displays a bundled, local copy of this Privacy Policy; JavaScript is disabled in that view and it neither sets nor reads any cookie files. No tracking cookies, session cookies or persistent cookies are deployed within TinyPix.
